Living in Germany means getting to know a new set of rules, products and financial terms. Language should make that easier.

Hi, I’m Fabian.
My background brings together fintech, digital business and financial services.
Connect with me on LinkedInI co-founded Finanz2Go in Berlin in May 2023. Today, I’m its sole owner and operator.
My work has taken me from an early fintech startup to eCommerce, investment consulting and partnerships in the financial sector. Those experiences shape how I approach this portal: explain the context, make the practical details easier to find and show where an answer has limits.
I’m responsible for the research, writing, publication and updates on Finanz2Go. The site is built around helping international readers understand financial topics in Germany in a language they can follow.

- 2012–2015
An early start in fintech
I co-founded Goldpay in Heidelberg, developing a minimum viable product for an app for gold-backed payments and bringing in the first beta testers.
- 2017–2019
From university to digital business
I completed a Bachelor of Science at Otto von Guericke University Magdeburg in 2017. I then worked as an eCommerce Manager at Yilba GmbH in Düsseldorf, helping build an online shop for Cipo & Baxx across eCommerce, digital products and performance marketing.
- 2020–2023
Working directly with financial clients
As a Senior Investment Consultant at TauRes in Berlin, I worked with clients on investment and financial topics and led a team. This was a previous role and is not a current advisory offer through Finanz2Go.
- 2024
Partnerships and digital business models
In 2024, I joined S-Communication Services GmbH in Berlin, working in the Sparkassen ecosystem. This is a separate professional chapter, not a partnership between the organisations.

Financial information is more useful when you can see where it comes from, what it assumes and what it cannot tell you.

The editorial standard is to prefer primary sources such as German authorities, official institutions and provider documentation, with dates and links where practical.
Explain the limitations
Guides should make important conditions visible. Calculator results are illustrative scenarios based on inputs and assumptions, rather than forecasts or personal recommendations.

Readers should be able to find who operates the portal, how content is maintained and how any commercial relationships would be disclosed.
